Access to the website can be provided in a number of different ways, listed below. In order to maintain an institution’s access information, librarians can be assigned an “Administrator” user name and password which allows access to the Account Administration page. They can then log in to advise the London Review of Books of changes to an institution’s access information and access their usage statistics.
Institutions can provide IP ranges that are then granted automatic access. If a user is successfully logged in, their institution name will display at the top of each page. Specific IP addresses can also be denied access if required.
Federated access by Athens or Shibboleth is available. Institutions can provide their affiliation attributes and this will allow automatic access either by first signing on locally, or by signing on via the federated access login page. If a user is successfully logged in, their institution name will display at the top of each page.
Institutions can provide secure and/or password protected pages that direct users to the LRB website, the user will then be automatically logged-in. If a user is successfully logged in, their institution name will display at the top of each page. The institution must provide their URL information to the London Review of Books in order for this type of access to be set up.
Users must have cookies enabled to access the London Review of Books via these methods
