Now.... you may argue with the manner in which has chosen to.... make his point -- it may be right or wrong, I don't know! -- but that is surely a .... legitimate .... desire, can you see that?

    Bad work to involve Machiavelli - he only got a bad name because politics was thought to be governed by the prevailing 'in theory' catholic morality of the time

    He was only advising rulers how to survive and govern well

    A Campbell is alot more culpable in the Blair crimes than Machiavelli was for the Medicis'
